Facilities and Recreation
Community Centre
The Community Centre is the heart of village life and hosts a wide variety of community events including ceilidhs, theatre productions, concerts, the farmer’s market, and fundraisers. The Centre features meeting, activity, and reception space, kitchen facilities, and a stage and green room.
Community Centre facilities may be rented for half- or full-day events such as receptions, seminars/classes, or meetings. Alcohol is permitted with a valid permit and a licensed bartender/server. Please review our rental rates and policies. For more information, please contact the Village Office at office@murrayharbour.ca or 902-962-3835.
Dog Park
Our one acre dog park is the perfect place to let your best friend have some fun, off-leash time. Located behind the Community Centre, the fenced-in park is separated into small and large dog areas. It is open to the public 24/7 at no cost. To ensure that all dogs and owners can enjoy the space, owners are responsible for their dog’s behavior and for cleaning up after them. Bags and garbage cans are provided on site.
Outdoor Ground Hockey Rink
Our outdoor ground hockey rink is the perfect place to get your hockey fix any time of the year. The rink, and an adjacent paved lot area, is located behind the Community Centre and is available at no cost on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Playground
Our playground is a child’s dream! Installed in 2018, the playground features swings, slides, and a variety of activity options that let young imaginations go to work!

Railhead Park and Confederation Trail
Rail Head Park is located at the head of the Confederation Trail and marks the former “last stop” of the Canadian National Railway line. The park is an ideal place to enjoy a picnic, learn about the local history of the railway, or to start/finish a trail hike or bike ride.
Murray Harbour is the final stop on the Confederation Trail’s 80-kilometre Stratford-to-Murray Harbour branch. Whether you’re setting out to do the tip-to-tip or just taking a couple of hours to walk/bike a short section, the trail is a great way to explore the natural beauty of the area and our neighbouring community of Murray River.
Murray Harbour Marina
The Murray Harbour Marina is a privately owned facility located adjacent to the Murray Harbour wharf on the south side of the river bank. The marina features floating docks that can accommodate sail and power craft up to 50 ft. Power hookup and water supply as well as shower and washroom facilities are available. The marina is in walking distance of the community centre, grocery store, restaurants, and a marine engine repair shop. For more information, contact Jamie Richards at (902) 962-2427/(902)969-1126 or at jamierichards245@gmail.com.
